Dr. Scherrer is starting his twentieth year as a dermatologist at the Eau Claire Center. He studied chemistry as an undergraduate at Northwestern University, was an organic chemist at a pharmaceutical company and then went on to graduate school in pharmacology at the University of Michigan. He began medical school there, finished it at the other U of M (in Minneapolis), and completed his dermatology residency at CU in Denver. He was forbidden from doing a fellowship by his family and got his first real job at Marshfield Clinic at the age of 35.
