Debra obtained certification through the Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) in January 1998 certification through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) in 1999.

In 2009 Debra transitioned into a newly created position within the Cancer Care and Research Center as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist until 2022 at which time she accepted a Regulatory Affairs Specialist II position with the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute Fritz Wenzel Center for Clinical Research (FWCCR). This FWCCR career change has allowed Debra to expand her knowledge and skill sets in other disease conditions.
