Statement

In the pursuit of rigorous data analysis through statistical methods, it is imperative to approach the numbers and data points with care and mindfulness. It is crucial to recognize that these figures represent the lives of real people, whose well-being will be directly impacted by the evidence-based policies that emerge from our investigations.

Research Interests

As a researcher with a strong background in healthcare and public health, I am committed to advancing scientific knowledge and improving healthcare delivery. I conduct research on improving healthcare delivery, advancing public health knowledge, and promoting health equity.

My research profile includes a variety of studies in healthcare and public health. I have investigated the effectiveness of voice recognition technology for real-time dictation in rural healthcare, the impact of COVID-19 on teleoncology in Nigerian outpatient cancer clinics, and the relationship between residential racial segregation and firearm fatalities. I have also examined the impact of social determinants of health on women, maternal and child health outcomes, and access to healthcare. In addition, I have conducted research on the use of data-driven methodology to improve healthcare access. My highest cited article is a case study of the Doxycycline for the Treatment of Nodding Syndrome Trial affecting children. I have presented my research at numerous scientific conferences and delivered public lectures on the promise and challenges of AI in medicine.

I am the author of the new book Collaborative Governance: Regulating AI in the US Economy, published in 2023. I am a receiver of numerous honors, including the Excellence in Scientific Research Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Greg Alexander Outstanding Paper Award from the American Public Health Association. I was also honored as an Excellent Speaker on Social Justice at the World Affairs Seminar and received the WC Kohler Scholar Award for exceptional academic performance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
