Statement

Dr. VanWormer is a behavioral epidemiologist with research interests in the primary prevention of cardiometabolic disease, community risk factor surveillance, and lifestyle interventions. He currently serves as a Research Scientist in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology & Population Health, and is also the Interim Director of the Center for Oral and Systemic Health. He has led several evidence-based medicine and health disparities projects focused on obesity, medication use, oral hygiene, and vaccinations, among others. Dr. VanWormer is also an investigator member of the national Health Care Systems Research Network and the University of Wisconsin’s Institute for Clinical and Translational Research.
