About this seminar: Dr. Fernando Hugo is a Dentist with a MSc in Gerontology and a PhD in Dental Public Health. Over the last decade, he worked at the Department of Preventive and Social Dentistry of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Dr. Hugo acted as the Director of the Center of Social Dentistry Research between 2010 and 2018, where he leaded a group of researchers in the areas of Dental Public Health and Oral Epidemiology, with a strong focus in Oral and Systemic Health Research in Aging populations. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with Tenure of Dental Public Health and of the Post-Graduate Studies Program in Dentistry, where he supervises MSc and PhD students and is the course Director of ‘Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis in Health Care’ and ‘Dental Public’. He is also a Research in Productivity Scholar of the Brazilian Council of Research and the current Coordinator of the E-Oral Health Network of the International Dental Association.
