Presented by: Ingrid Glurich, PhD, Project Scientist, Center for Oral and Systemic Health Marshfield Clinic Research Institute

About this seminar: Dr. Glurich received her PhD in Microbiology at the University of New York in Buffalo with an emphasis in the areas of host response and oral immunity and immunopathology, microbial pathogenesis and impact of host-pathogen interaction on oral and systemic health.  She is currently a project scientist in COSH.  Her areas of research interest spans: the role of oral microbiome in oral and systemic health, impact of microbial pathogenesis on oral-systemic health, impact of host immune responses on oral-systemic disease establishment/progression, potential of identifying biomarkers for monitoring of oral disease status to promote clinical precision medicine, and further delineation of mechanisms underlying connections between oral and systemic disease processes.
